Another Great Weekend!!

Well we traveled to Atlanta this weekend for a shower hosted by Jonathan's mother. We left Birmingham on Saturday morning and arrived into Buford late that afternoon. The shower itself was on Sunday after church and lets just say we were blessed with more than we could ever imagine! Not only was it incredible to see family members we haven't seen in a while, but we were blessed with an abundance of gifts and a great selection of food. We took a poll and majority rules that the baby will be born on April Fool's Day... Can't wait to see who is right! Anyway, all in all we had a BLAST the last couple of days and now at 11:17 pm we have unpacked and arrived home. The second bedroom is overwhelming full of gifts... Looks like I will have a busy week. Can't say it is a bad problem to have! :) Hope everyone had a great weekend. Here are some pictures from the shower!

What a Great weekend!!!

Jonathan and I had an INCREDIBLE weekend in Cincinnati. It was awesome to see all of the family and to have a great shower. We got some really great gifts. Our trip up was so much fun, we had so much fun talking and watching the baby kick. Saturday we woke up and I went to the ladies baby shower and had a ton of fun. I got back from the shower and Jonathan and I just relaxed and watched some football. Our gift form my grandma was our diaper bag, so we went up to the Vera Bradley store and got the diaper bag and then treated ourselves to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with my sister Lindsay. We had a blast. After dinner, we got home and watched the rest of the game and went to bed. Sunday was a pretty lazy day with a family dinner that night. We got to see some great people.

As I said before this weekend was amazing. I can not wait to do it all over again next weekend in Atlanta with Jonathan's family. I can not believe that the next time I see my Cincinnati family the baby will be here!! This week will be consumed with cleaning out the second bedroom to make room for baby items and making final plans to where we are moving! Such big decisions!

Just another day..

Well... After 3 snow days I think I am about ready to go back to school. We start again today and then Jonathan and I take tomorrow off! Working 1 day a week, I think I could get use to this. This weekend is very exciting for Jonathan and I. Tomorrow (Friday) we head to Cincinnati for our FIRST baby shower!! So exciting. I can not wait to see what all of our great friends have bought for our precious little one. Jonathan and I had a GREAT last 3 days off of school.

We decided that it was not going to be very easy moving clutter so we decided to clean some... WELL did that turn into a stressful time. We had WAY more stuff than we had ever imagined and well did we have some cleaning to do. Needless to say we cleaned out some MAJOR clutter and on top of that bought our first piece of baby furniture!! The combo dresser... YAY!!! It was a great last 4 days at home and I would not have wanted to be stuck with anyone else :) Here's to safe travel's up north in the snow and a great baby shower!

Glucose~

Well good news is I PASSED!!! Passed my Glusoce Intolerance test and passed my iron test! Yesterday's dr appointment was a great one! I was able to hear that heartbeat of our special little one... was weighed :(.... and had some blood drawn. So far so good. Everything is looking grreat. I am measuring a week ahead still (a 6' and a 6'5" I don't think can make a small baby). Here is just a small look into what I had to drink yesterday. it wasn't actually that bad... taste kinda like really sugary Cool Aid. Anyways, good appointments make for great days! Had a great day and a great evening with Jonathan. What more could a preggar ask for :)

And so it begins....

Today is the first day of the blog for BabyMilk. I have never done a blog before, but Jonathan and I thought it would be fun to start something that our family and friends could follow along to during pregnancy and after the baby is born! Tomorrow will be my first round of testing for my blood sugar and we are praying that we pass so we do not have to come back and take the 3 hour test. The holiday's were great to Jonathan and I so lets hope that doesn't effect the results :)

We started our trip heading to Cincinnati. We were in Cincinnati for 7 days and enjoyed everyday of it. We did not do a lot but were able to catch up with some old friends and able to see the new Focker movie, which is hilarious! We enjoyed a GREAT Christmas day with 20 family members and were so blessed to receive great gifts from them.

After leaving Cincinnati the day after Christmas we headed to Atlanta. We had to make a short detour through Birmingham on Sunday before heading to Atlanta. On our journey from Cincinnati we took the alternate route and saw family and friends along the way. It was awesome! With a car pack with a car seat :) and diapers we headed to the apartment. The cats were very excited to see us arrive home, and this gave us a chance to unload and organize a little. We woke up on Monday morning and headed to Atlanta. We enjoyed a busy time in Atlanta seeing friends traveling to North Carolina and Jonathan getting to go to the Falcons game.

We had a great break and enjoyed seeing great families. We headed home Sunday and returned to school on Monday. That seems to be it for now. Will keep you all posted on the Dr. Appointment tomorrow.
